IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR WEEK 3- BLOG CREATION INFORMATION

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR WEEK 3

·         Have your blog up and ready for review
o   Design your blog to your liking (you can view video tutorials below to help with this process as well as navigate blogger.com.
o   Have your theme clearly defined and articulated on your blog.
o   Explain to the readers of your blog how your theme addresses an important current or historical movement that has social implications.  Why do you feel that your theme has substance so that your learners come out of the unit having a deep understanding of background issues, and the effects of humans upon the physical and/or social environment?   In other words, how does your theme address social effects/consequences such as legal, environmental, socio-economic, political, cultural, lifestyle etc.
o   Tell us the three grade levels (e.g., K-2, 4-6, 9-12, or any other combination between k-12), your theme will address.  Please make sure that when choosing texts to keep in mind there will be multiple levels of development in reading including troubled readers, ELL students, developmentally delayed students etc.   In other words, if you are teaching seventh grade English, focus mainly on the middle school grades, but include literature to challenge mature readers.

This is where you need to post your favorite beautifully illustrated folk tales and at least one folktale/traditional literature for your thematic unit. Create a  post dedicated to traditional literature.
