TIPS FOR CREATING YOUR BLOG
The purpose of this blog site is to create a space to collect most of the information that you will need for your final unit paper for this class. The following tips will make this process so much easier for you.
- · Include a large amount of detail in relation to the books that you post each week. The more information that you include now the less you will need to do later down the road.
- · Look over the final requirements for the thematic unit so you are aware of what books you will need to have and how many of each in a genre. At times I will only require that you post 1 or 2, but if you know you are going to need 4 or 5 and have the time now. You might want to go ahead and post them here for safe keeping, so that you can quickly retrieve them.
- · Place a photo of each book next to each discussion that you have on a book. This will help you if you choose to use this unit in your classroom to quickly scan over your blog to find a text or information about a text.
- · You will need to create an annotated bibliography (we will look at a couple of examples of these soon) for all the books in your unit, if you feel comfortable starting on this process I encourage you to begin recording this information as you post your books.
- · If you are aware of a good text for someone in your group that would be a good fit for their theme. Please, please share that with them. I am sure they would also be very appreciative if you would upload a photo of the book as well.
HHave fun!
